Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

Hey everyone, this is one of your expert movie reviewers at the Review Zone. Ill be giving reviews on latest movies and some of my favorite older hits.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of my top favorite movies. This movie was created by a great crew and cast, and introduced a new kind of Action/ Adventure into the cinemas. First off, the acting in the movie was really good. The lead role, Dr. Henry (Indiana) Jones Jr. was portrayed effectively by Harisson Ford, who showed Indy as a very serious and adventurous man who felt very strongly for archeology, but also added hints of humor that made Indy seem human. Marion Ravenwood, played by Karen Allen also expertly gave us a feel for her character, a girl who can fend for herself. Overall the acting in this movie was great and really blended.

Although there were not many special effects in this movie, when the effects were put into use they were very advanced for the 80's. Most of the effects come into play when the lost Ark of the Covenant is opened by the Nazis. Lightning burst through people, and faces melt off and heads explode.

When I give plots I will be somewhat basic because I do not want to spoil movies for you. Indiana Jones, the famous whip-cracking archaeologist with the iconic Fedora hat is on the mission to stop the Nazis from recovering the Lost Ark of the Covenant. To find the Ark, Indy must go to his former mentor's daughter, who has one of her father's artifacts needed to locate the ark. Indy is now put to the test to stop the armies of darkness from marching the earth with this paranormal power behind them.

Acting: 8 - Actors reinforce their roles
Effects: 10- Although there were not many, Revolutionary effects for the 1980's
Plot: 10- Cool plot; very adventurous and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Overall: 9- Great Movie and great cast and crew

You should see this movie, I give it two thumbs up! Look into this movie more, and look for my reviews of the rest of the trilogy!
